I love Kate Spade New York Accessories. I think they’re fun and whimsical. So great for the holiday season. Here are some of my favorite gift ideas at every price point:
What says the holiday’s more than a bow? I love these earrings- they are so cute. They’re available in four colors but I like the gold the best. They are $48.
These little necklaces are so much fun! Available in six colors- they all have their own affirmation engraved on the back. They yellow for example says “Hello Sunshine”. Each necklace is $58.
This little wristlet is an iPhone case and it also stores a few credit cards. Great for a night out and it’s $70.
I love the pattern and the practicality of these cosmetic case. It comes with a mini pouch and the price is $148.
Gold watches are very popular right now! Not many people have a gold watch with a purple face! Love the purple/gold combination- this is $225.
You can really sparkle and shine in this statement necklace. Just gorgeous- and it can be yours for $398.
Do you still dress up for Halloween? Or do you find it more of a day for the kids? I still like to dress up and some years I put in more effort than others. It’s easy to go to the costume shop and pick out something cute- but sometimes it’s fun to get a little creative.
What type of costume will you wear?
Will it be a sexy prepackaged costume:
What about a character from your favorite movie:
Something scary:
Something that’s in the headlines right now:
What about going all out and getting super creative with a full hazmat suit!
My first thought this year was to go with a Breaking Bad themed Jesse or Walt hazmat suit as Breaking Bad is my favorite television show. I also would have gone as far as making the “blue meth”
I ended up not wanting to invest in the hazmat suits, and instead decided to go with my other favorite television show characters- Megan & Don Draper from Mad Men.
I somehow convinced my husband to do a “couples” costume with me. Shopping for our outfits was a little challenging- but I think we pulled it off:
Are you dressing up for Halloween? Or did you already celebrate and dress up this past weekend?
I have been looking forward to the Nate Berkus for Target line for months! I’ve been holding off on purchasing table lamps in hopes that I would find something designed by Nate. Unfortunately, there were only two in the collection and I wasn’t a huge fan of either, so I guess I’ll move on and finally make a decision.
Here are a few of my favorite items from the collection:
I absolutely love anything that’s tie dyed or dip dyed. This shower curtain caught my eye immediately. It’s available in two different colors. Love it! It’s very versatile. I would love it in an all white bathroom- or a bathroom with really dark blue walls.
This is called a bucket- but I assume it’s meant to be a vase. I think it’s very sharp and elegant. And I do love gold!
Cute little box for a side table or mantel.
Again, a bucket- but this is more of a fun chatzkie, not quite a vase.
Love this picture frame- very simple and neutral.
Did you get a chance to see the Nate Berkus for Target line? What did you think? Did you buy anything?
Spoiler Alert!
Don’t scroll down unless you’ve seen the Project Runway Season 10 Finale!
Did you catch the finale of Project Runway last night? Going in, I was not rooting for anyone specific. I thought all four designers were great and it was anyone’s game.
Here are some of my favorite looks of the night:
Christopher
Love this jacket- beautiful!
This jacket was great too- love the color and style.
These pants are awesome! Love the pattern and color.
Melissa
Love this dress, looks like a signature Melissa look.
Love the cut and material of this dress as well.
Let’s just say- who didn’t love this “blood orange” dress?! Great last minute addition to her collection!
Fabio
Love the long top.
Absolutely gorgeous dress!
Just like the judges- I loved his layered looks!
Dmitry
My favorite dress of the whole night! What woman wouldn’t want to wear this!
Gorgeous. Love the color and the detail on the shoulders.
Even thought the judges thought this dress was over the top- I loved it! So beautiful!
So who was the winner????
Dmitry!
I thought his win was well deserved! His collection was absolutely gorgeous!
After seeing the runway shows, I really thought they were going to go with Fabio because his collection was just so different and unlike anything else out there. I was rooting for him because he felt like the underdog of the season- and his looks were just so cool. But again, I would have been happy with any of them winning.
Do you agree with the judges choice of Dmitry?

I was walking around Nordstrom the other day and this beauty caught my eye:
Marc by Marc Jacobs from Nordstrom
It was more the color that I loved more than anything else. Teal, to me, was always such a 90′s color! It’s back, and it’s better than ever! I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more of this color soon. Here are some of my favorite finds:
A teal animal print? Pretty cute on this clutch.
Love, love, love this two-tone infinity scarf. I originally had mixed emotions about infinity scarfs, but now that I own one, I absolutely love the style. So easy to wear!
This sweater is only $15 this week at Target! Comes in other colors as well, but obviously, this is my favorite!
This may be my favorite teal pick. Like the colored denim trend, but want something fresh for the winter? How about these velvet cocktail pants! Velvet is also going to be a huge trend for this winter.
Rachel Zoe’s clothing line is gorgeous and this dress is no exception. Pair this with black tights and black booties- so cute!
What color are you loving this season?
I found some great items at Target the other day- here are some of my favorites:
This cardigan looks really rich in person. Well worth the $30 price tag. I came very close to purchasing it!
I love a fairisle sweater for the colder months. This sweater dress is great! I can see getting a lot of use out of it.
Love this color combination and print. Target has had some really cute pencil skirts!
How could you not love this jacket? I love the fabric, love the leather details and the off center zipper. Great little jacket to throw on with jeans, black pants or a black skirt.
Fun little flat in purple! I love this style, and love the price point for this fun colored animal print.
No. 2 Pencil Skirt from J. Crew
I fell in love with this skirt from J. Crew a few weeks ago. On my commute to work the other day, I saw on someone in person and it looked great in person.
Do you like the way it’s styled? Would you wear it with this sweater? Or would you keep it simple with a black top?
I think the way they styled it is really interesting, but not sure that I could pull off that look!
